Indiana Jones 4 Messenger Skin
After elevating B-quality sci-fi to award-winning drama and pushing visual effects wizardry to a whole new level with Jaws and Close Encounters, Steven Spielberg made his name reviving a dead genre with Raiders of the Lost Ark. It was the first time that he truly established his style and spirited tone in a franchise.
It's hard to imagine anyone else wearing Indiana Jones' brown, wide-brimmed fedora or firing his whip and delivering his famous "Well, I guess we'll find out" line. The series also introduced us to countless exotic locales, ancient artifacts, fistfights and snakes (why did they have to include them all?).
Indiana's next adventure finds him entangled in the middle of World War II when his estranged goddaughter Helena Shaw arrives seeking Archimedes' Dial, a mystical device that may or may not bestow godlike powers on its owner. The Nazis want it, and they'll do whatever it takes to get it. So, of course, Indy — now played by a digitally de-aged Harrison Ford — must go after it with his usual high-octane mix of costume changes, well-aimed punches and acrobatics.
Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing the entire Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection in 4K Ultra HD. It comes in two separate packages, each of which includes a flyer with codes for digital copies of the movies that can be redeemed on VUDU or iTunes. The first package has dedicated SteelBooks for each film and sits in a gatefold digipak; the last disc in the set houses all the special features. The second package is more minimalist with a thin side-sliding slipcover that holds a single UHD disc atop a Blu-ray disc for all the films' features.
